Of course part of our mission at the ISSV is to treat survivors of sexual violence. Another part of our mission is to train mental health and medical professionals in Clinical Hypnosis with Rapid Trauma Resolution (or RRT).
Since becoming Certified in RRT these are the only trainings that I attend. As many of you know maintaining one's license as a mental health provider means you have to attend so many hours of continuing education each year. Why not attend a training where you learn to clear and resolve such things as trauma, PTSD, anxiety, anger, grief, guilt, and depression?
Trainings in RRT are experiential, informative, and entertaining. (Dr. Jon Connelly is one of the best story teller's I have ever met.) You can learn more about the trainings we provide here.
I also think we have one of the best communities of trained professionals around. We regularly refer to each other. When I say refer to each other I mean we refer our family and friends; if we have a client who has a loved one in another state who needs RRT we provide referrals for other RRT therapists, and other RRT therapists have been known to see other RRT therapists. We provide each other with a lot of support, encouragement, and suggestions. Once you become certified you can participate in bi-monthly teleconferences, we also now have a linkserv community going. (This is a whole new thing to me so I'm still trying to wrap my brain around this new addition to our community) I've had certifications other than RRT and this community has been the most supportive, friendly, and helpful one that I have ever been a part of. And we also cross promote each others' accomplishments; so say one of us publishes a book we are out there talking to everyone about that book.
I'm pretty sure that if your reading this and you are in the mental health field part of the reason you got into this field was to help people. I know I did. Once I started training in RRT I realized that it is possible to help people heal, clear, resolve issues, and thus transform lives. Seriously, consider coming to a training! You can review possible training locations here. (because we do trainings across the United States) or you can call 1-800-587-2623.
